As a Graduate Fire Engineer at CORE, you’ll work on some of Australia’s most impactful projects - from next-gen residential developments to complex data centres. You'll be hands-on from day one, conducting site inspections, drafting fire engineering reports, developing performance-based solutions, and contributing to critical design meetings.
You’ll collaborate with a team that values safety, innovation, and trust, applying fire and building codes to deliver practical, compliant outcomes. With access to 1:1 mentorship, technical training, and exposure to industry events, you’ll build confidence and capability while seeing your work make a lasting impact.

This position is a key member of the CORE Engineering team with responsibilities and duties including the preparation of fire safety audits and fire engineered alternative solutions in accordance with the Building Code of Australia (BCA) and the Australian Fire Engineering Guidelines (AFEG). Relevant responsibilities of such audits and reporting will involve familiarisation with project constraints, timing, cost control and compliance with applicable codes and guidelines.
You will be responsible for mentoring fellow Fire Engineers to further develop their skills across wide ranging areas such as client liaison, technical capacity, report writing, new methods of analysis and thinking. You will attend meetings on behalf of CORE for projects (where required) and assist Graduate Engineers to develop their skills in design meetings.

As a Fire Safety Consultant at CORE, you’ll work with a team of fire safety professionals to deliver practical, performance-based solutions across a diverse range of projects. Drawing on your industry knowledge, you’ll conduct fire safety assessments, develop tailored strategies, and provide clear, confident advice to clients and stakeholders.
