CORE delivered the fire engineering for the conversion of a former Bunnings on North Rocks Road into a new Woolworths supermarket with specialty retail tenancies.

Reworking a large single-use big-box store into a multi-tenanted retail centre changes how the building compartments, circulates and exits — and the fire strategy had to follow.

Engaged with builder Mainbrace Constructions, CORE prepared the Fire Engineering Report and carried it through construction to the Final Inspection Report, resolving the fire safety implications of the new tenancy layout and back-of-house arrangements within the existing shell.

The result delivered a compliant, buildable fire strategy that let an ageing big-box building be repurposed quickly into a modern neighbourhood supermarket.
