The iconic Crown Casino and hotel tower, soaring 64 storeys above Barangaroo, required a bespoke fire engineering strategy to accommodate its diverse uses and extreme height.

A key challenge was enabling the desired population levels on the main gaming and function floors.

By thoroughly understanding the building’s functional requirements, conducting detailed smoke and evacuation analyses, and proposing strategic modifications to optimise compartmentation and egress, CORE successfully facilitated these population goals. Additionally, the fire safety strategy had to account for the tower’s intricate finishes and numerous unique architectural features to ensure that the premium feel of the building was maintained.
