Western Sydney Community and Conference Centre
Contractor: Richard Crookes Construction
Location: Penrith, NSW
Services: Fire Engineering
The state-of-the-art Western Sydney Community and Conference Centre (WSCCC) expanded on the existing Penrith Panthers precinct, providing greater amenity to the local Penrith community.
The project involved the construction of a community and conference centre for a variety of uses, including exhibitions, functions, concerts, offices and community spaces.
Supporting the use of the WSCCC is a connected six-storey 4.5-star hotel. CORE developed a fire strategy based on the fundamentals of flexibility and functionality, which were key to the success of the project. Specifically, the smoke exhaust design within the conference centre allowed for multiple configurations and potential use of smoke machines.
