CORE was engaged by Lendlease to deliver Fire Engineering services for the new WE01 Training Building at HMAS Watson—part of a broader redevelopment of the Royal Australian Navy’s premier maritime warfare training base.

Located at South Head overlooking Sydney Harbour, the project involved the full design and delivery of a secure, multi-level defence training facility. CORE’s fire strategy addressed extended travel distances, secure egress conditions, and constrained site access, ensuring safe evacuation and seamless fire brigade intervention.

Through early engagement with FRNSW and the design team, we developed performance-based solutions that enabled compliance without compromise—supporting the delivery of a modern, high-functioning defence asset.
