CORE was engaged to deliver Fire Engineering services for Switchyard—a $100M, award-winning industrial estate developed by Mirvac. Spanning over 72,000sqm across six buildings, the estate accommodates 27 warehouse units in a variety of configurations, catering to e-commerce, high-tech, pharmaceutical, and food & beverage users.

The diverse tenancy profiles and wide range of unit sizes presented unique fire safety challenges, requiring a flexible and highly tailored fire strategy. CORE assessed fire resistance levels, travel distances (including within basement areas), smoke hazard management, and fire brigade access paths—ensuring each unit type could operate safely and independently while remaining compliant across the precinct.

Delivered in close collaboration with Prime Constructions and FRNSW, the outcome is a modern, future-ready estate that sets a new benchmark in industrial design and safety.
