CORE is engaged to deliver the fire safety engineering for the redevelopment of the Mount Druitt Swim Centre, part of Blacktown Council's new community hub.

The project replaces the existing outdoor facility with a modern indoor aquatic centre — an indoor pool hall, change amenities, café, administration areas and basement plant rooms, set within landscaped public grounds.

Drawing on CORE's work across complex public facilities, the scope runs from the Performance-Based Design Brief and design-team and Fire and Rescue NSW coordination through to the Fire Engineering Report for construction. Key Performance Solutions address extended travel distances, rationalised fire systems and fire safety to the plant areas.

CORE continues to support the project through construction, inspection and final sign-off, keeping the fire safety strategy aligned to how the centre will operate.
